With the Sky Bridge, Hong Kong International Airport has gained a new architectural highlight. The impressive pedestrian bridge connects Terminal 1 with the North Satellite Concourse, providing travelers with a direct crossing over the airfield.

Our task at One Forty West was to document the construction process over several years in high image quality and to create a visually powerful timelapse film from the footage. We used one of our proven MK V40 timelapse camera systems, equipped with a 40-megapixel sensor, a 100-degree field of view, and a capture interval of one image per minute. This system delivers crystal-clear shots with a high-quality, cinematic look.

We at MK timelapse are responsible for the visual documentation of the construction project and have been delivering minute-by-minute images of the site since November 2023, even before construction began. In the end, the entire transformation of the factory grounds will be captured in a high-quality time-lapse film. For this purpose, two of our MK V50 time-lapse camera systems are used, each with a resolution of 50 megapixels, a 100-degree field of view.

The documentation of the Crescent Development Project spanned over more than a decade, and our technology evolved alongside the project. From the very beginning, it was clear that such a long-term endeavor required systems that are reliable, robust, and low-maintenance. The technology used was adapted in multiple phases to meet the technical standards and the progress of the construction site.

For the timelapse documentation of the bridge insertion at Sengelmannstraße, we deployed two camera systems: an MK V40 with a 40-megapixel resolution, along with a supplementary webcam mounted directly onto the new U5 bridge itself. Unlike many of our projects, where cameras remain in place for months or even years, this assignment was relatively short in duration - but extremely tightly scheduled and precisely coordinated.

Our cameras are currently documenting the construction of Bukit Chagar Station, the Malaysian terminus of the RTS Link on the Johor side. This key transportation hub in the city of Johor Bahru is located in close proximity to the Southern Integrated Gateway and JB Sentral, one of the city's most important railway stations.
